Zimbabwe International footballer, Marvelous Nakamba will return to his club Aston Villa from national duty with Zimbabwe to a new coach after the the Blue Army appointed former Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard as their new manager.
Gerrard replaces out of sorts Dean Smith.
What will happen next for the Warriors midfielder as Gerrard lands at Villa Park?
That is a question being asked by Nakamba’s fans countrywide all over the social media platforms.
Last weekend Aston Villa board sacked Smith who failed to produce good results for the team, he lost five concecutive games in the top flight English Premier League .
Smith left Aston Villa on the 16th place in the premier league table acquiring only ten points from eleven outings.
Aston Villa lost to Tottenham, Wolves, Asernal, Westharm before losing to Southampton before the international break, this resulted in the sacking of Smith from the club.
Smith played a role in bringing the Warriors defensive midfielder from the Belgian side Club Brugge.
Former Aston Villa head coach Dean Smith despite bringing Nakamba to Villa Park he has been highly criticised by the player’s fans for changing him from his original position.
Aston Villa last won a match at Old Trafford in September against Manchester United by a goal to nil.
Gerrard quit at Rangers Glasgow in the Scottish Premiership before returning back to the English Premier League over the international break.
Gerrard had a successful start in the Scottish Premiership as Rangers are on top of the table with 30 points from 13 matches having lost only one match.
“Aston Villa is a club with a rich history and tradition and I am immensely proud to become its new head coach,” Gerrard said.
