The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has issued an open call to Zimbabwean footballers based abroad to attend the upcoming U17 National Team trials, scheduled for 25 to 30 August 2025 at Eaglesvale School in Harare.
The trials aim to identify the next generation of football talent and provide young players with a chance to earn a spot in the national team and proudly represent Zimbabwe on the international stage.
Participation is at the players’ own expense, with applicants required to bring essential documents, including an original birth certificate, a signed parental or guardian consent letter, and a confirmation letter from their club or academy, if applicable.
ZIFA has stressed that no trials will be arranged through agents, urging players to apply directly.
“This is your opportunity to wear the national colours and represent Zimbabwe,” ZIFA said in a statement.
The trials will feature technical, tactical, and physical assessments, including team drills, match simulations, and individual skill evaluations such as passing, shooting, and dribbling.
Players are also expected to demonstrate discipline, professionalism, and commitment throughout the process.
Interested players or guardians can seek more information by contacting ZIFA via technical@zifa.co.zw. Early application is encouraged due to limited trial slots.
This initiative is part of ZIFA’s continued efforts to scout and nurture young talent both locally and internationally, ensuring a strong pipeline of players for Zimbabwe’s national teams at all levels.
