Burna Boy in Historic Grammy Nominations

Burna Boy, the renowned Nigerian singer, has made history by becoming the first African artist to receive Grammy nominations for six consecutive years.

Since 2018, he has been nominated annually, marking a significant achievement for African musicians. Overall, Burna Boy has accumulated 11 Grammy nominations and has won one award.

This year, his song “Higher” is nominated for Best African Music Performance.

Tems’ Notable Nominations

In addition to Burna Boy’s achievements, fellow Nigerian artist Tems has garnered the most nominations from Nigeria at the 67th Grammy Awards, with a total of three nominations. She is recognized in the categories of Best Global Music Album, Best African Music Performance, and Best R&B Song for her tracks “Born In The Wild,” “Love Me Jeje,” and “Burning.” Tems now has a total of eight Grammy nominations.
