South Africa – Prophet Paseka Mboro, leader of the Incredible Happenings Ministry, has pledged a R5,000 reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the devastating fire that destroyed his church in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni.
During a media briefing on September 18, M’boro urged authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice, stating:
“I’m going to give a R5,000 reward to anyone with information that will help the investigating officer in this case. I know pupils burned the church, and I don’t blame them, but I want to know who organised them because it’s clear there were forces behind the burning of the church.”
The fire, which occurred on August 6, caused over R1 million in damage to the church, located just 50 meters from the Katlehong North Police Station. A case of arson has been opened, and Major-General Anna Sithole assured that those responsible would face consequences.
“We will arrest those who started the fire and looted. We are working tirelessly to ensure justice is served,” Sithole said.
M’boro’s call for justice comes after he and his bodyguard, Vincent Baloyi, were granted bail on September 12 following their arrest on August 5. The two were charged after a viral video showed them attacking teachers at Matsediso Primary School.
Case Details:
- Location: Incredible Happenings Ministry, Katlehong, Ekurhuleni
- Date of incident: August 6
- Damage: Over R1 million
- Reward: R5,000 for information leading to arrest
- Case status: Ongoing investigation, next hearing on October 21.
Mboro remains resolute in seeking justice and rebuilding his church.
“I will not be intimidated. We will rebuild and continue serving the community,” he said.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward and assist in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
