Beware of Fake Recruiters: ZNA

Own Correspondent

The Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) is sounding the alarm about fraudsters posing as recruitment agents who are scamming unsuspecting individuals out of their hard-earned cash.

These scammers pretend to be army recruitment officers, demanding payment from prospective candidates in exchange for false promises of employment.

According to Colonel Alphios Makotore, ZNA Public Relations director,

“The Zimbabwe National Army has noted with concern the increasing cases of bogus recruiting agents targeting unsuspecting members of the public.”

He urges the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities or individuals to the nearest Army Camp or Zimbabwe Republic Police station.

How the Scam Works:

  • Fake Recruitment Notices: Scammers use social media, fake recruitment notices, and advertisements to deceive people.
  • Demands for Payment: They demand payment from prospective candidates in exchange for false employment promises.
  • Sophisticated Tactics: Scammers use clever tactics to convince victims of their legitimacy.

The Truth About ZNA Recruitment:

  • Transparent Process: ZNA’s recruitment processes are transparent and free of charge.
  • No Third Parties: The army does not involve third parties in recruitment or training.
  • Free Medical Exams: Medical examinations are conducted by the army at no cost.

To protect yourself from these scams, be cautious of unsolicited recruitment offers and always verify information through official channels. If you suspect a scam, report it immediately to the authorities.

Stay safe, and remember: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
