Award Winning Comedian “Maforty” is back on stage with a new sitcom.
The comedian is renowned for performing ‘one man shows.’
MaForty is set to perform his latest one man show at the end of this month at The Zimbabwe Academy of Music in Bulawayo.
Born Hubert Ndlovu, better known as MaForty is a comedian whose journey of one man shows began in 2016.
Previously MaForty has performed in four “one man” shows.
His first show named MaForty’s Road to 30 was in 2016, in 2018 he was back with The Press Conference, followed by Ghetto Salad in 2020 and I am not mad in 2021.
His last two shows were big and they sold out proving that the comedian has grown in leaps and bounds.
This year, Maforty presents Mama’s Boy Grownish, a comic that is set on his life’s journey and his relationship with his mother.
ZIM GBC ENTERTAINMENT caught up with MaForty and he shared a brief of what the show will be about.
“The name of the show is Mama’s Boy Grownish. I recently turned 35 and I want to celebrate that and also I don’t look 35 that’s the Grownish part. Mama’s Boy comes from that my mom is always on my case about getting married”, said Maforty.
He also said that the show will bring out his childish thoughts that he still has at 35 and hopes to share this with his family and friends as well as skating with them when he is going to settle down so that he gets a break from the marriage questions.
He reminded his fans that it is a one hour show, and he hopes to make people laugh and enjoy their time.
MaForty has performed the comedy in Harare at the beginning of April and is now headed for the City of Kings and Queens. His fans are in anticipation of what he has in store for them.
MaForty has whispered that the Harare show was good and it had a huge turnout.
