For one to live a healthy long life, fitness plays a major role, but for any athlete to succeed fitness is of vital importance.
Many young people have taken to the gym to shed off some calories, trim that extra fat and maintain that flat tummy.
According to America’s National Center For Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP), training or physical activities reduces the risk of many chronic diseases, such as heart disease, cancer, and type 2 diabetes.
It also states that training helps prevent unhealthy weight gain, improves bone and musculoskeletal health, improves cognitive ability and reduces risk of dementia and many other cons.
The 5-time Ballon D’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo, is one of the greatest athletes who realized this aspect of fitness earlier in his career, with that, even at 39 he still looks amazingly agile and producing amazing results in the field of football, performing even better than youngsters in the names of Halaand and Mbappe, amongst others.
Some people might wonder how Ronaldo does it. It takes self motivation, experts and a dedicated team to keep in shape one of the greatest personalities to grace the game of football in recent years.
Ronaldo is surrounded by a team of experts who are well versed in fitness training and maintance.
Ronaldo’s success is attributed to these experts.
In Zimbabwe, the Midlands, one such expert has emerged in the City of Progress, Gweru.
Evidence Makuyana, a former long distance runner dumped his running takkies and became a fitness trainer.
“I was once a long distance runner so I always want to keep myself fit, more so I want to help many people to be like me.” Said Makuyana
The 30-year old is doing wonders at his training facility, JT Hawks, where a number of fitness enthusiasts are currently enjoying his services.
At Hawks, age is just a number, everyone who is willing to be fit can benefit, with sessions that runs on a daily basis except for Sundays.
Under Makuyana’s tutelage, former Dynamos and Democratic Republic of Congo’s FC Lupopo forward, Phillip ‘Baccossi’ Marufu got special services.
Tafadzwa Marufu, son to Phillip is also shaping his football journey under at JT Hawks.
“I always want to lead by example so that I can motivate those whom I am working with” Said Makuyana, commenting on what motivated him to be a fitness trainer.
In an interview with Zim GBC News, Makuyana said he is also into cricket but yet to make make a professional debut.
“I just wish to play professional cricket and secondly I want everyone who wish to become fit to come so that we can help one another” Added Makuyana
