Innbucks a Mobile Online Payment platform that is run by fastfood giant Simbisa Brands, has adjusted its sending fees it charges its customers.
“Less is More. Innbucks is pleased to announce that the fee to send amounts over $5 has been adjusted downwards from 5% to 3%. $5 or less is only 1%”.
Its just last week that ZIMRA increased VAT from 14.5% to 15% following the promulgation of Finance Act Number 2 of 2022, the Finance Minister directed the Value Added Tax rate to be adjusted from 14.5 to 15%, with effect from 1 January 2023, states the public notice issued by ZIMRA on the 8th of January.
This saw an increase in goods and services including basic commodities.
Meanwhile, the platform allows customers to deposit US dollars of up to US$ 200 into their Innbucks accounts. This can then be used to purchase from any of the Simbisa outlets nationwide, to redeem the cash, or send to anyone else registered with Innbucks.
Simbisa outlets include Chicken Inn, Pizza Inn, Creamy Inn, Bakers Inn, Fish Inn, Haefelis, Grab and Go, Nando’s, and Steers. You can use this app to buy for someone who is in a different location from where you are, with no service charges at all. You can also withdraw the money from any Simbisa outlet nationwide and with no service charges.
Customers can either use the Innbucks app, which can be downloaded from the Google Play store, or use the USSD platform (text messages). The USSD menu is accessed by dialing *569#. This option is convenient when one doesn’t have data or does not have a phone that can access the internet.
