The Citizen Coalition for Change Vice President Professor Welshman Ncube has scoffed at suggestions by ZANU-PF’s secretary for Finance Patrick Chinamasa that Vice President Tendai Biti, CCC Secretary General Charlton Hwende and Ncube may be on their way out of Chamisa led outfit.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, Comrades and Friends in the public interest, permit me to act the soothsayer to interim CCC Vice Leaders (whatever their titles may be) Professor Welshman Ncube, Tendai Biti and interim Secretary General Charlton Hwende. I say to them: “Beware the Ides of March,” read Chinamasa’s tweet posted on Monday.
In response to this , Professor Welshman Ncube who is the former president of the now defunct MDC Green said in an interview with Zim GBC News that he is hundred percent fully behind Nelson Chamisa and his CCC outfit.
“My actions clearly show which party I want to belong to. You saw me fundraising for CCC candidates in the Southern Region in the by-elections since March. Did you not see me during the Bulilima by-elections celebration alongside President Chamisa,” said the United MDC founding secretary general.
Political analyst and the disposed Traditional Leader of Ntabazinduna Chief Nhlanhlayamangwe Ndiweni said that ZANU-PF is agenda setting by creating non-existent fissures in the country’s strongest opposition party.
“This is a whispering campaign in which ZANU-PF is trying to weaken CCC by creating non-existent divisions among the top brass of the Nelson Chamisa led party,” said the outspoken son to an equally radical Chief the late Khayisa Ndiweni
