Share Love, Save Lives: Zimbabwe Launches Valentine’s Blood Drive

Tembani P Thebe | ZIM GBC NEWS

This February, the National Blood Service Zimbabwe (NBSZ) is channeling the season of love into a lifesaving mission. Throughout the month, the public is encouraged to express their compassion by donating blood, a simple act that can offer someone a second chance at life.

From February 1 to 28, 2026, donors can visit any permanent NBSZ clinic across the country. As a token of gratitude, each participant will receive a special gift, a trendy T-shirt and a stylish flask, so donors can wear their kindness with pride.

Under the theme “A Match Made in Heaven… You Are Someone’s Type,” the campaign highlights how every donor could be the perfect match for a patient in need.

“Every donation is an act of love that has the power to save lives,” a fellow citizen shared.

This Valentine’s, fellow citizens can turn their affection into action.

The drive seeks not only to replenish blood stocks but also to remind the community that love can be shown in many ways including giving to strangers in critical need.

With Valentine’s Day approaching, consider making a meaningful date out of donating blood. Rally friends, family, or coworkers and join a effort that spreads hope throughout Zimbabwe.

For details on donation sites and requirements, visit the NBSZ website or reach out to a local clinic.

This February, be someone’s hero. Give blood and give love.
