The National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) is set to get a major overhaul, with independent auditors overseeing the adjudication process for the first time.

The 24th edition of Zimbabwe’s premier arts awards is introducing new categories, including Fashion and Digital Media, to recognize emerging talent and innovation.

The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) has opened submissions for the awards, which will cover works produced between December 1, 2024, and November 30, 2025.

The event is expected to be a glamorous and prestigious celebration of local talent, with Scarlet Studios and Events Evolution managing the ceremony.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for February 2025, and will feature a range of performances and recognitions.

Submissions are open until November 30, 2025, and can be made at any NACZ office nationwide .
