Nation in Mourning as Missing Kuwadzana Children Found Dead in Car Boot

HARARE – Zimbabweans across the nation are reeling in shock and grief after three young children who went missing from Kuwadzana Extension on October 1 were discovered dead this afternoon, their bodies found stashed in the boot of a car parked near their family home.

The tragic discovery has sparked an immediate investigation, though authorities have yet to release specific details about the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

The news has triggered an outpouring of anguish and fury on social media, with citizens expressing heartbreak over the loss of the young lives and demanding swift justice.

@Milcah Qin Ncube expressed the depth of national grief, writing: “Nhai mwari…azviita dai akasawana rugare…ngaasangane nerufu runorwadza. Those kids are too small zvekunzi vakavhura boot vakazviisa imomo. God we prayed as a nation wani mmmm zvodzimba moyo izvi.”

Other social media users joined in mourning, with @Esther Chizomba posting: “Nhai mwari may their soul rest in peace 😭😭😭😭😭” while @Vimbai Chabata added: “OMG toitasei nhai Mwari I’m speechless hangu may their souls rest easy.”

The tragedy has also ignited calls for urgent action and accountability. @Collin Nyabadza demanded: “The police should work round the clock and bring the perpetrators to justice! Personally, I have no sympathy for those who harm children!! The government needs to come up with a zero tolerance policy on those who hurt children!!!”

@Mitchel Zvingowaniseyi captured the national sentiment, stating: “People can be very cruel. It is heartbreaking that three young lives have been taken by evil individuals. I hope those responsible never find peace. May the young ones rest in peace. 🕊️”
