MASVINGO – The Zimbabwean entertainment industry is in mourning following the tragic death of popular DJ, Bruce Masomere, in a car accident along the Harare-Masvingo road on Saturday, 27 September 2025.
His family has confirmed that he will be laid to rest on Monday at Glen Forest Cemetery.
In an interview with Zim GBC News, the late DJ’s uncle, David Masomere, also known as “DJ wenyika,” outlined the funeral arrangements.
He stated that the body will be moved from the Nyaradzo Funeral Parlour in Masvingo to Chitungwiza Unit N on Sunday, where mourners are expected to gather for a vigil and pay their last respects.
David Masomere also took the opportunity to express the family’s profound gratitude to Presidential Advisor Paul Tungwarara for his swift and crucial support.
“We appreciate the monetary support from Paul Tungwarara, who has been instrumental in helping us with the burial arrangements,” Masomere said.
“We are grateful for his kindness and presence at the funeral.”
The news of DJ Bruce Masomere’s passing has sent shockwaves through his fanbase and fellow artists, with many paying tribute to him on social media.
