It’s A Bizarre World!!
JOHANNESBURG – A South African pastor’s claim of a divine vision revealing the exact date of Jesus Christ’s return has ignited a firestorm of debate, excitement, and skepticism among believers worldwide.
Pastor Joshua Mhlakela has proclaimed that the Rapture will occur on September 23, 2025—a date that aligns with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish Feast of Trumpets.
He states the message was delivered to him in a powerful revelation.
“I saw Jesus sitting on His throne, and I heard Him clearly say, ‘I am coming soon,’” Mhlakela claimed. He added a stark warning:
“The rapture is upon us, whether you are ready or not.”
The prophecy has spread rapidly across social media, triggering a wave of mixed reactions. Some individuals have come forward claiming to have had similar premonitions.
“My 10-year-old daughter dreamt of the rapture recently,” one person shared online. Another commenter asserted,
“Wow, I can read people and Joshua is 100% telling the truth. I never even listen to visions, but God told me to pay attention to this.”
However, the announcement has been met with significant caution from many theologians and believers alike, who point to a fundamental biblical teaching.
A prevailing counter-argument online reminds others,
“Nobody knows the date or the time,” a direct reference to the scripture in Matthew 24:36 where Jesus tells his disciples,
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”
Adding fuel to the prophetic speculation, a blood-red moon was observed on September 7 and 8, prompting many to reference the verse Joel 2:31:
“The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.”
In a fascinating historical parallel, researchers have linked a NASA-backed astronomical model to the crucifixion. The theory suggests a lunar eclipse turned the moon red over Jerusalem on April 3, 33 AD—a date many scholars associate with Jesus’ death—which aligns with the biblical account in Matthew 27:45 of darkness covering the land.
Whether the date passes as any other or holds a deeper significance, Pastor Mhlakela’s prophecy has undoubtedly sparked a global conversation about faith, prophecy, and the importance of spiritual readiness.
