The stage is set for an electrifying volleyball friendly as Zimbabwe and Zambia go head-to-head on 6–7 September 2025 at Sunrise Sports Club.
Organised by the Zimbabwe Volleyball Association (ZVA), the two-day clash aims to strengthen regional sporting ties while giving both nations a platform to fine-tune ahead of upcoming regional and continental tournaments.
Zimbabwe has named a 41-player provisional squad, featuring both seasoned campaigners and rising stars from across the country and neighbouring regions:
Opposites : Tafadzwa Keni (Chimoi), Allan Chiuawa (Dknights), Brian Muchena (UZ Wolves), Kelvin Chiramambgwa (Shalom Ballers)
Outside Hitters: Dean Mukusa (Falcons Zambia), Matthew Masamanja (UZ Wolves), Tanaka Mwara (Falcons Zambia)
Setters : Nigel Kadumba (UZ Wolves), Takunda Manjenganje (NABA), Wiziwig Marukutira (Crocs)
Middle Blockers: Tawanda Mashaka (UZ Wolves), Tatenda Karuma (Black Rhinos), Mugwira Gilroy
Liberos: Tsiga Prince (Black Mambas), Sango Lovelace (Ruwa), Mackline Rangwani (UZ Wolves)
The technical team is led by Head Coach Itsanang Abu Basutu, with assistance from Donald K. Chademana and Tawanda Pamire.
The final squad will be confirmed after the last reporting day on Monday, 1 September 2025, giving late arrivals one last chance to impress.
