FC Rea Vaya wrapped up the matchday in style with a commanding 3–0 win over Queen Lozikeyi Academy at Saimart Grounds in Emganwini, delivering a performance full of confidence and control.
Dineo Njaya starred with a brilliant brace, striking in the 16th and 37th minutes to give Rea Vaya early momentum. Her sharp movement and finishing kept the opposition defence on their heels.
Nonhlanhla Phiri sealed the win with a composed finish in the 65th minute, marking a strong all-round team performance for the Royals.
Trish Muparadzi, also of Rea Vaya Royals, stood out with a spirited display and was deservedly named Player of the Week for her outstanding contributions.
Rea Vaya coach Dan Ndlovu reflected on the team’s performance, admitting that it exceeded expectations given recent changes within the squad.
“We didn’t expect to play this well, especially after losing most of our key players, some went to Lobengula City Queens, others to Skies Las Palmas, so we were pretty much starting from zero”.
He expressed pride in how the new-look team came together and delivered under pressure.
“Seeing the team step up like that was impressive,” he added.
Commenting on Queen Lozikeyi, Ndlovu acknowledged their struggles in the league but was still surprised by the extent of Rea Vaya’s dominance.
“Queen Lozikeyi are at the bottom of the log and, honestly, one of the weaker teams in the league, but we didn’t expect to dominate them the way we did.”
He concluded by commending both teams for their efforts.
“It was a solid match from both sides.”
The game was played under the temporary slogan #Ayisoze ife—a powerful declaration meaning “It won’t die.” It was used to assure fans that despite losing key players and facing challenges, Rea Vaya Royals remains alive, fighting, and focused on rebuilding stronger.
The result not only highlights Rea Vaya’s dominance but also reaffirms their resilience and determination to rise again, loudly declaring they are far from finished.
