Harare – Controversial philanthropist Susan Mutami has reignited tensions with a series of explosive claims involving President Emmerson Mnangagwa, former Tourism Minister Walter Mzembi, and other high-profile figures in Zimbabwe’s ruling elite.
In a lengthy social media post, Mutami questioned the wisdom behind Mzembi’s return to Harare without a proper change of guard, warning that Mnangagwa’s vindictive nature poses a serious threat to the former minister’s life.
“Can y’all please explain to me why you people don’t listen to my advice when I give you warnings,” Mutami wrote. “No one else knows @edmnangagwa and crew the way that I do.”
Mutami alleged that Mnangagwa and Mzembi have a long-standing feud dating back to an incident in London when Mzembi was Tourism Minister. “He witnessed what he wasn’t supposed to see, and their relationship went sour from that point onwards,” she claimed.
“Mangangagwa doesn’t forgive and he doesn’t forget. He will lure you to his turf and crush you like a fly as demented as he is,” Mutami warned.
She also claimed that Mzembi had tried to prevent the alleged assassination of former Foreign Affairs Minister Sibusiso Moyo, but his warning went unheeded. “The day SB Moyo was assassinated, Walter rang Loice Matanda-Moyo and told her to warn her husband about the assassination because they had received prior intelligence, but she told Walter she was in a meeting and she didn’t care,” Mutami wrote.
Mutami ended her post with a cryptic message, suggesting she holds more damaging secrets: “Musoro wangu wakatakura ma secrets just so you know…”
When asked about the claims, Mutami simply stated, “I have many secrets in my small head.”
