Bulawayo – Rising Zimbabwean artist and entrepreneur Neezy the Second is expanding his influence with BEN Africa (Black Elite Network Africa), an upcoming record label and creative hub dedicated to empowering Black talent across the continent.

“We matter, we are strong, and unity is key,” Neezy declared in an exclusive interview with Zim GBC News.

The label will not only nurture emerging artists but also host a network of podcasts under its banner.

Among these is Neezy’s own podcast, Life It Out, which blends candid conversations with mental health advocacy.

“It’s raw, fun, but purposeful,” he explained.

Since its launch, the show has gained a loyal following, reinforcing his role as a voice for Zimbabwe’s youth.

From Orphan Trust to Creative Powerhouse

Neezy’s journey began at Zimkids Orphan Trust, where his early performances of P-Square covers first showcased his talent. His passion for music grew during visits to his uncle’s home, where he refined his songwriting and instrumental skills.

In 2016, he ventured into hip-hop as part of the group KDL (Kool Dope Life), but his 2018 Afrobeat single “Move Like This” marked a turning point in his career. Inspired by Davido’s artistry and Kevin Hart’s entrepreneurial drive, Neezy adopted a relentless work ethic.

“Moments of doubt will always be there,” he admitted, “but I counter them with motivation, self-reflection, and gratitude for how far I’ve come.”

Beyond Music: Building a Legacy

In 2019, Neezy founded Afro Dynasty, a dance crew that started with one member and has since grown into a thriving collective. “Helping others brings me joy,” he said, emphasizing his vision to become a record label mogul like Don Jazzy.

As a member of Earground Zimbabwe, a leading creative platform, he is committed to elevating Bulawayo’s untapped talent.

“This community has given me a bigger purpose—to identify and uplift others,” he stated.

A Message to Aspiring Creatives

Reflecting on his journey, Neezy described it as “A Tunnel of Hope”—a testament to perseverance. His mantra,

“Invest in yourself; it brings the best dividend,” fuels his ambition.

For young creatives, his advice is clear:

“Start now. Take baby steps. Be patient. Keep going.”

With international collaborations and surprise projects in the works, Neezy the Second is set to reshape Zimbabwe’s creative industry—one bold move at a time.
