HARARE – A 28-year-old Chinese businessman was arrested on Friday for allegedly raping his seven-month-old daughter, police confirmed.
The suspect is accused of removing the infant’s diaper and sexually assaulting her without protection. According to the infant’s mother, the man had previously attempted to assault the child last month.
“The accused is currently detained at Mabelreign Police Station under case number RRB 6456219,” a police spokesperson stated.
Authorities confirmed an active investigation is underway.
Medical examinations have been conducted on the infant, though officials declined to provide further details citing the sensitivity of the ongoing case.
