The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has suspended all unauthorised football activities organised by the Zimbabwe Football Federation for Amateur and Social Leagues (ZIFASOL) with immediate effect.

The decision, announced in a press statement on June 16, 2025, follows ZIFASOL’s unsuccessful bid for ZIFA membership.

ZIFA stated that ZIFASOL had been operating area zone football structures without approval, emphasising that such organisation falls exclusively under ZIFA and its recognised members.

“No other entity is permitted to operate such structures outside the jurisdiction of the Association,” the statement read.

Additionally, ZIFASOL was found conducting unaccredited football training courses. ZIFA warned the public, declaring,

“Any football training or education programmes conducted under ZIFASOL are not recognised and are hereby declared null and void.”

The suspension of all ZIFASOL activities was ordered, with ZIFA citing “parallel administration of football” as a direct breach of its regulations.

Clubs and leagues affiliated with ZIFASOL have been instructed to immediately align with officially recognised ZIFA Area Zones structures.

ZIFA reaffirmed its commitment to structured football development and urged stakeholders to adhere to the governing framework of Zimbabwean football.
