“A friend in need is a friend indeed. The national AIDS council is an all weather friend and we value the partnership.

“As Bulawayo, we appreciate the different partners who have come on board to help in the mitigation of TB infections. This shows the unity and love that prevails in the City of Kings.”

Bacteria that causes TB is easily spread from one person to another when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Persons with active TB symptoms, which include excessive coughing (sometimes with blood), chest pain, general weakness, lack of appetite, weight loss, swollen lymph glands, fever, chills and night sweats amongst others, will therefore require a long course of treatment involving multiple antibiotics.

The Provincial Manager of National AIDS council for Bulawayo Senatra Nyathi who handed over the donation said;

“It is my pleasure to stand here to deliver the TB and HIV print Materials that is being donated by National AIDS council.

“NAC continues to coordinate the national multi- sectoral response to HIV and AIDS, with the aim of leaving no-one behind as we close the top of new HIV infection in an effort to end AIDS by 2030.
