A disturbing incident has emerged from the Westwood community in Chiredzi, where the decomposing body of a domestic worker, Jabson Bunukwa Kwangwari (35), was discovered inside a locked house belonging to his employer, Christopher Nyathi (75).
The body was found on the morning of October 11, raising serious concerns and prompting a police investigation.
Discovery of the Body
The grim discovery was made by Mr. Nyathi, who noticed an unusual number of flies around the door of the outbuilding where Kwangwari lived, accompanied by a strong, unpleasant odor. Upon alerting the police, they found the door locked from the outside. After forcing entry, they discovered Kwangwari’s body in a state of advanced decomposition, indicating he had been dead for some time.
Evidence of Foul Play
The police reported that the scene suggested foul play. Kwangwari’s body had visible injuries, including a large wound on his head and hand, and his trousers were pulled down. The disarray of his personal belongings further indicated a violent struggle may have occurred prior to his death.
Ongoing Investigation
The body has been sent to Chiredzi General Hospital for a post-mortem examination, which is expected to provide crucial insights into the cause of death.
