Today Zim GBC News speaks to a twenty one year old Actor and Acting coach Tanaka Brandley Munyavhi aka Cold Strings

Tanaka is a local TV Actor and an Acting coach whose dream is to be a Hollywood Star. He ventured into film seven years ago after participating in a high school drama competition. He has throughout his career featured in theatre plays directed by Bob Mutumbi and the South African Bafana Ndladla.

My First Childhood Memory ….

It’s the day l was burnt by a neinei on my legs when my mom was at work …

My First Childhood idol……

Its Will Smith….

My First Movie Hero…

Again its Will Smith… It was and still is Will Smith…

My First Instrument ….

Its a keyboard. I used to play….

My First School …..

It was Jabulani Pre- School at the high density suburb of Mpopoma in Bulawayo…..

My First Best friend…

It is and still is Linos Brilaizer Tapera….

My First Heartbreak..

It’s the moment l saw the lady that l loved so dearly with another guy being all lovey dovey, kkk anyways it seems we were not meant to be as there is someone special in my life now….(😊)

My First Time Acting….

Its when l went to some high school drama competition….

My First Pet….

I remember playing with my toy car though mom said l used to play with dolls such that a lady from our hood nicknamed me Chidori kkk forget about the nickname though….(seems the young actor never liked pets but preferred toys kkkkk).

First Time Crying As an Adult…..

Its when l lost a movie audition, at that time l almost gave up acting but somehow that incident made me grow stronger….

My First Job…

Its when l was casted at a theatrical play titled The Eye In The Sand by Nonkanyiso Mabaleka…..

Meanwhile, the young actor has acted in four series, one movie and some few theater plays which the other one was showcased in London this week titled Taura by the art of health in the Direction of Bob Mutumbi.

He has also featured on Ukholo the musical theatre play by Bafana Ndladla from South Africa.

Movies that he has been a part if are broadcast on DSTv but there is a series that is accessible on YouTube Wadiwa Wepamoyo season 2 ….

It hasn’t been an easy road for Tanaka as at some point he had to sleep outside as his father was not in support of his career path but fortunately for him his mother has been his number one supporter as he hopes to represent Zimbabwe in Hollywood with some Oscar awards….
