Zimdancehall artist Ras pompy has responded to people who have criticised his latest music video titled Skin to Skin.

Pompy who was last seen as a ‘child’ chanter recently came back with a new music video which shocked many moralists in the country. Fans have cited that it does not represent the founding principles  of the country and it is off for a artist of his caliber.

The video depicts explicit scenes that are shown in a dark room, something that shocks his fans who last saw him as an innocent young artist, who made the nation smile with songs like Nzira Dzevakoma which he sang with Spider Man (also called Mad Spider), Style and Pattern, Tochivharira, Change Giya and Tobhilivha na Most High.

In the video, a woman is dancing to Pompy’s  song whilst undressing in other front of a naked man.

Ras Pompy responded in what someone would say is an arrogant manner when he said his music is not about educating because all that is the job for schools.

He said:
“My music is for entertainment and those who want to learn should pay school fees and go to school” . His words were quoted by Enzo Ishall in a video interview with Zimcelebs.

Ras Pompy arrived in the music scene at an earlier stage with the Zim dancehall medley or riddim which launched the careers of many other artists like Magical and Tipsy.

Ras Mpopy began his career when he was just 13 years old in 2014. He was the youngest artist in the industry. Pompy started off his career at Chill Spot Records under the guidance of top Zimdancehall producers, Arnold Kamudyariwa (Fantan) and Rodger Kadzimwe (Dj Levelz).
