The visiting English Country Cricket sides are having a good tour so far against Zimbabwe Cricket two Select sides the Northerns and Southerns.
The Glamorgan and Durham are in the country for a series of matches as part of their pre-season matches preparations.
The first match was between Glamorgan against Southerns in which the English side scored 172 runs for five wickets in twenty overs before going on to bowl out their opponents, Southerns, for 115 runs all out in 17.2.
It was the Zimbabwean side which won the toss and elected to field first.
Then, in the afternoon match, Northerns were restricted to 124 runs all out in 16.3 overs by the other English team, Durham. Durham chased down the target in 11.3 overs to finish with 125/1.
Sam Northeast was the top scorer for the Glamorgan County with an unbeaten 76 runs from 49 deliveries. Captain David Lloyd scored 31 runs off 24 balls while Callum Taylor finished with 27 runs to guide their team to a defendable total in 20 overs.
Southerns all-rounder, Luke Jongwe was also in form as he finished the game with the best bowling figures for the Zimbabwean side, taking two wickets in his four-over spell and giving away 33 runs.
Cephas Zhuwao top-scored for the Southerns with 23 runs off 18 balls while his opening partner, Innocent Kaia made 18 runs off 14 deliveries. Jonathan Campbell (Southerns) finished with 15 runs as the failed to chase the target set by Glamorgan
In the match between Durham and Northerns, the English County proved to be a hard team to knock down as they dominated the whole match with both the bat and ball to get a huge victory.
Only two Northerns batsmen managed to get to double figures. Tadiwanashe Marumani top scored for the Northerns with 24 runs from 16 balls while Carl Mumba finished with 22 runs from 14 deliveries as their team struggled to get going with the bat.
Liam Trevaskis finished with the figures of 3/19 in three overs for Durham whereas George Samuel Drissel, Oliver Gibson and Brandon Dale Glover took two wickets each for Durham to restrict the Zimbabwean side to a reachable target.
The visitors showed their dominance during their batting innings as they only lost a single wickets of Michael Alexander Jones (35 runs) who was dismissed by Talent Dzikiti.
Alexander Zak Lees finished unbeaten with a half-century on 55 runs from 31 balls while David Guy Bedingham scored 34 off 23 balls.
Two matches will be played today as well with Durham facing Southerns whereas Glamorgan will be up against Northerns at Harare Sports Club. The Durham and Southerns match will be the first of the day.
A total of six matches will be played between the teams over three days at Harare Sports Club with the last matches set for Friday (tomorrow).
