A Bulawayo based opposition party, Nationalist Alliance Party “African Renaissance Party” which is led by Devine Mhambi Hove says they have no issues with the delimitation report that the Zimbabwe Electoral Report presented in the Parliament.

“We are not very fussy about it because we believe our ideology cuts across the breath and width of the nation, hence our ideology encompasses everyone. We are not worried, as long as they are 210 constituencies and as long as they conform to the law,” said Hove in an interview with Zim GBC News.

The NAP-ARP leader spoke to Zim GBC News on the back of several Political Parties including ZANU-PF resoundingly condemning Justice Priscila Chigumba and ZEC compiled delimitation report.

Hove’s party is an Ultra-Leftist Movement which seeks to empower communal farmers and also believes in affirmative action in the benefit of indigenous citizens.

“I withdrew from the race and I’m the only presidential candidate who withdrew. I know even if I withdrew my name was on the ballot paper and I think I got just under 6000. At that time we felt that ZEC had not given itself to try and make the environment free, fair and credible, ZEC ignored all of them so we knew that there was going to be a problems.”

Meanwhile, another Bulawayo based opposition party Republican Party of Zimbabwe responded to our question on the delimitation report saying,

“As a Party we acknowledge the Gazette on the Delimitation Report by President Mnangagwa. However, we still insist that the whole process was marred by irregularities from the onset in terms of complying with the provisions of the Constitution and the Electoral Act. Our biggest concern as we approach the polls is the credibility of our election processes that are always disputed. We pray and hope that the next poll will be peaceful, fair and credible,” said it’s leader Kwanele Hlabangana.

The delimitation report was gazetted by the President, Emerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa on the 20th of February 2023.
