Hartsfield Rugby Grounds last weekend played host to the first round of the Under-20 Bulawayo Metropolitan Rugby Football League.
It was a great opening day for some of the Bulawayo Rugby League franchises as they managed to grab a win to start their 2023 season after a long festive season.
On the opening day, only three matches out of four were played, with the Highlanders versus Raging Bills match being postponed, reason being the Highlanders team did not have enough players.

Women’s games
Bulawayo Ladies 7 Plumtree 5.
Men’s games
Hornets 33 Bulldogs 12
Western Suburbs 39 Plumtree 7.
Here are this weekend’s fixtures:
The ladies games are going to be played at 12.30pm.
The Raging Bulls versus Bulldogs at half past one in the afternoon.
The Hornets will take the Plumtree at three o’clock in the afternoon.
The Under-20s league is set to run up until mid-March 2023
