Sheasham Football Club are leaving no stone unturned as they prepare for their debut in the country’s top-flight football league. The Construction Boys who won the sole ticket into the Premier League from the Central Region League have booked giants Highlanders Football Club for a date at Ascot Stadium in Gweru.
Zim GBC News established this in an interview with the Highlanders Media Communications and Public Relations Manager Nozibelo Maphosa who however said the match will take place in condition that Sheasham get clearance from the PSL.
Sheasham have so far played and lost one-nil to Harare Giants Dynamos, beaten army side Black Rhinos by a solitary strike and also drew one-all against the same opponents(Black Rhinos).
The Construction Boys will be using the Old Bata Stadium that is located in the Gweru Industrial sites. So far they have been alternating between Ascot and Gweru Sports Clubs for their friendlies depending on the popularity of their sparing partners.
Meanwhile, Maphosa revealed that Amahlolanyama are intensifying their preparations for the 2023 season.
“We have indeed intensified our preparations for the 2023 Premier League Season, all our returning players did their medicals and the training sessions are exciting.”She said.
So the trip to the Midlands capital is part of this move to intensify preparations. This will be the first time that the Black and White Army will be engaging an opponent from the top-flight league since the conclusion of the 2022 campaign.

However Baltemar Jose De Oliveria Brito has gotten rid of Nqobizitha Masuku, Bukhosi“Zaku”Sibanda, ageing Toto Banda, Adrian Silla and Muziwakhe Dlamini.
He has also brought in Calvin Chigonero, a striker on loan from Talen Vision, signed Melikhaya Ncube, and brought back Reward Muza, a goal-keeper who was on loan, from Bosso 90, Highlanders developmental side comes in Gilian Nyathi.
