The opposition run Bulawayo City Council is currently collaborating with the Bulawayo Metropolitan Affairs and Devolution Minister Judith Ncube in a campaign to rid the City of litter that is piling at most parts of the Central Business District.
The campaign which started during the middle of the week also involved other stakeholders such as the Environmental Management Agency and members of the public.
The move comes at a time when residents and other stakeholders are raising concern over garbage piling up in the City.
The piling up of garbage and the failure of the BCC to collect refuse on regular basis has also cost the City’s Health Services Director Dr Edwin Sibanda Mzingwane’s job.
