The culture of going to the cinemas to watch movies seems to be waning. This has resulted in some major cinema complexes such as Elite 400 (Bulawayo), Vista Rama (Bulawayo and Harare) , Rainbow cinema (Gweru, Kwekwe, Marondera, Mutare) and Rainbow Parklane (Harare) shutting down .
Other movie houses that went out of business in Zimbabwe include Ster-kinekor (Westgate) , Ster-kinekor (Eastgate) , Kine 600 (Bulawayo) and Rainbow City (Harare).
Most movie lovers these days tend to watch their movies on computers, phones, laptops and on television.
ZIM GBC NEWS however believes the cinema is still the best medium for one to consume motion pictures on.
Some of you should be asking, what are the benefits of going to the cinema to watch a film?
- The screen is bigger and clearer at the cinema
- The sound is louder and sharper.
- People are more fragrant and attractive.
- Going to the cinema kills 99,9% of all known germs and regular attendance will certainly prolong your life by a decade.
