Madokero industrial, residential and shopping mall has been officially opened by President Mnangagwa.
Madokero Estate project began in August 2012 and was scheduled to be completed by April 2014.
The project was funded by the Public Service pension fund which is one of the several similar investments being made by the pension fund across the country.
Whilst on the other hand, Terracotta is a South African based firm which won the multi- million dollar tender for the reconstruction of Egodini Mall in 2016 but seemingly nothing much has been done.
The first phase was scheduled to be completed in 2019 however the firm set another deadline for August 2020 which it also failed to meet.
Zim GBC News reporters visited Egodini mall to see if there has been a new development, only to find small stalls of vending bays which had been constructed and nothing much.
Zim GBC NEWS failed to get a comment from the director of Terracotta Mr Thulani Moyo as he was not reachable.
However, he had been quoted before saying:
“The project was delayed by the lock down period otherwise the project should have been completed around mid April this year”.
Terracotta has taken a very long time to finish Egodini project.
