The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has confirmed that Warriors defender Teenage Hadebe has been found in breach of the team’s camp code of conduct, resulting in a one-match suspension.
In a statement released by ZIFA, the association confirmed that the disciplinary decision was made in line with team regulations. As a result, the experienced defender will miss the upcoming final of the Mukuru 4 Nations Tournament against Zambia.
According to the press release, Hadebe has since apologized to both the team and the association and has accepted the disciplinary outcome.
While the exact nature of the breach was not disclosed, ZIFA emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism, discipline, and accountability within the national team setup.
The Warriors are set to face Zambia in the tournament final, where they will now have to do without the services of the key defender.
The Mukuru 4 Nations Tournament serves as an important preparatory competition for the Warriors as they continue to build toward future international assignments.
