The National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe (NAAZ) has officially announced a major new event on the country’s athletics calendar, urging the nation’s finest talents to prepare for what promises to be a thrilling showdown.
In a bold declaration titled “This Is Your Moment,” NAAZ has unveiled the inaugural NAAZ Junior and Senior Interprovincial Championships, set to take place on 25-26 April 2026. The two-day event will be hosted at the University of Zimbabwe sports grounds, promising a weekend of high-octane competition.
The championships represent a significant opportunity for athletes across all age groups to represent their provinces and stake a claim for national recognition. By combining both junior and senior categories, the event is designed to provide a platform for emerging stars to compete alongside and against the country’s established athletics elite.
