ODZI – A headmaster from Chikwere Secondary School in Odzi fell victim to a robbery in Mutare on Monday evening, resulting in the theft of crucial Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (Zimsec) Ordinary Level results slips.

Tizai Gwazhi (49) had reportedly just collected the results from the Zimsec provincial offices in Mutare before stopping at a bar in the Dangamvura high-density suburb.

According to initial reports, Gwazhi was attacked by two assailants while walking to a friend’s residence after leaving the bar.

The suspects allegedly robbed him of the official Zimsec O-Level results slips and his personal cellphone.

The incident has sparked immediate concern among parents and education authorities, given the sensitive and critical nature of the stolen documents for the affected candidates.

Police have confirmed they are investigating the case.

Law enforcement officials are urging members of the public with any information that may lead to the recovery of the stolen results or the arrest of the suspects to report to their nearest police station.
