Zimbabwean Afro-pop and kwaito star Mzobanzi Paul Mlauzi, popularly known as Mzoe 7, has been honoured as the Outstanding Male Artist of the Year.
The musician, celebrated for blending traditional sounds with modern beats and for his work in fashion and mental health advocacy, dedicated the award to his supporters.
“People supported me the whole year and that’s why I dedicate the award to the people,” Mzoe 7 said.
“I’m humbled to be recognised and this is my second Male Artist of the Year award.”
He shared that the win was not just for him, but for everyone with a dream.
“The award is for every dreamer ekasi (in the township), everyone who dares to dream. It’s all possible,” he stated.
Fans can look forward to more from the artist, as he promised,
“There is more music and videos coming.”
Mzoe 7 also had strong encouragement for upcoming artists from his hometown, Bulawayo, the City of Kings and Queens.
“Believe yourself, have discipline and never give up,” he advised.
His win highlights his continued influence and connection with his audience, proving that with support and self-belief, dreams can become reality.
