Scottland FC head coach Tonderai Ndiraya has cemented his place in Zimbabwean football history after guiding the newly promoted side to the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title in their maiden top-flight season.
Appointed in January 2025, Ndiraya masterminded a remarkable campaign that saw Scottland FC dominate the league, ultimately clinching the championship in record fashion.
The triumph marked his second consecutive league title after steering Simba Bhora to glory in 2024, making him the first coach in Premier Soccer League history to win back-to-back championships with two different clubs.
Ndiraya’s success has also earned him individual recognition. He was voted the Castle Lager PSL Coach of the Month for October 2025, his second monthly accolade of the season after winning the same award in July.
Under his leadership, Scottland FC went on a four-match unbeaten run in October, finishing the season as the only team without a defeat that month.
Speaking after the award announcement, Ndiraya credited his team’s success to “boldness and belief,” saying their unity and discipline were key to achieving the historic feat.
Meanwhile, Dynamos FC captain Emmanuel Jalai was named the Castle Lager PSL Player of the Month for October 2025. Jalai’s standout performance included scoring a decisive penalty in a 1–0 victory over Bikita Minerals.
The defender, who was appointed captain at the start of the season, became the first Dynamos player to claim the prestigious monthly honor this year.
Both Ndiraya and Jalai’s achievements highlight an exciting close to the 2025 Premier Soccer League season, showcasing local talent and leadership at the highest level of Zimbabwean football.
