The Meteorological Services Department has released its weather forecast for major cities across Zimbabwe from Monday, 3 November to Friday, 7 November 2025, showing a week largely dominated by rainfall activity and cooler conditions.
Most cities including Gweru, Chinhoyi, Kadoma, Masvingo, and Marondera are expected to experience persistent rainfall throughout the week, with some days recording over 10mm of precipitation. Gwanda, Mutare, and Lupane are also forecast to receive consistent showers, especially from Tuesday to Thursday.
Bulawayo will see partly cloudy conditions on Monday, with light rain beginning Tuesday (0.3mm), increasing midweek, and tapering off slightly by Friday.
Harare begins the week with partly sunny skies but sees increasing rainfall by Wednesday and Thursday, with up to 1.8mm expected.
Gweru is set for rainfall from Monday through Thursday, peaking on Wednesday with 10.8mm. Similar trends are noted in Chinhoyi, with steady showers all week.
Kadoma, Kwekwe, and Marondera will not be spared, facing consistent cloud cover and intermittent rain. Kadoma sees heavier rain midweek (7.2mm Wednesday), while Lupane may experience the highest midweek rainfall of up to 5.1mm on Thursday.
Mutare begins the week with storms and is likely to receive significant showers, particularly on Wednesday (8.2mm), before clearing up by Friday.
Residents are advised to take precautionary measures such as carrying umbrellas, avoiding flood-prone areas, and being alert for slippery roads. Farmers are encouraged to take advantage of the rains for planting, while city councils are urged to ensure proper drainage systems are in place.
