The Meteorological Services Department has released the weather forecast for major cities across Zimbabwe for the period Monday 27 to Friday 31 October 2025.

The forecast shows a mix of sunshine, showers, and thunderstorms, with some cities expecting brief rainfall, while others remain mostly dry and sunny.

Rain Expected in the South & West
Cities like Gwanda, Bulawayo, and Lupane will experience intermittent rainfall, especially from Tuesday to Thursday. Gwanda is forecast to receive rainfall on four consecutive days, while Lupane expects wet weather midweek. Residents in these areas should prepare for cloudy conditions and potential disruptions.

Bright and Sunny in the North & East
In contrast, Chinhoyi, Mutare, Masvingo, and Marondera will enjoy mostly sunny skies throughout the week. Mutare, for example, sees just light rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, while Chinhoyi remains hot and dry all week, with highs reaching up to 37°C.

Harare & Central Regions
The capital city Harare will experience warm, partly cloudy days with isolated showers expected on Wednesday. Kadoma and Kwekwe will see brief showers midweek, followed by clear skies toward Friday.

Safety Advisory
Authorities are urging residents in areas expecting rain to stay cautious on the roads and watch out for slippery surfaces. Farmers are advised to take note of rainfall patterns as the rainy season approaches.

As temperatures soar in some areas and rains begin to build in others, Zimbabweans are reminded to stay hydrated, avoid outdoor activities during extreme heat, and stay updated with daily forecasts.
