“She was caught attempting to sit for the Science Paper 1 examination on behalf of her sister at Masotsha High School in Magwegwe North, Bulawayo.”

The arrests come amid heightened security measures during the national examination period, with authorities implementing strict verification protocols to prevent examination malpractice.

The ZRP has reiterated its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process and warned against any form of cheating or impersonation.

“These arrests serve as a stern warning to anyone contemplating examination malpractice. We have zero tolerance for such offences and will continue to work with examination authorities to ensure a credible assessment process,” the police statement added.

Both suspects are currently in police custody and are expected to appear in court soon to face formal charges of impersonation, which carry severe penalties under Zimbabwean law.
