The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has summoned Ngezi Platinum Stars FC and their head coach, Takesure Chiragwi, to appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee following incidents that occurred during their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match against Dynamos FC at Rufaro Stadium on October 4, 2025.

‎According to PSL statement, Coach Chiragwi faces charges of violent and disorderly conduct, as well as improper behaviour likely to bring the game of football into disrepute.

‎“The charges stem from incidents of violent and disorderly conduct, including improper behaviour likely to bring the game of football into disrepute,” the PSL stated.

‎Ngezi Platinum Stars FC have also been charged for disturbing the normal proceedings of a match and improper conduct exhibited by their technical team and players during the same encounter.

‎The PSL emphasized that such actions are inconsistent with the standards of professionalism and integrity expected within the top-flight league.

‎ “The Premier Soccer League upholds the highest standards of conduct and expects all participants to act in a manner that promotes respect and integrity within the game,” the statement further noted.

‎Both Chiragwi and Ngezi Platinum Stars FC are expected to appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 17:30 hours at the PSL offices.

‎The disciplinary hearing will determine the appropriate sanctions for both the coach and the club.

‎The PSL’s decision will serve as a reminder to all football stakeholders about the importance of maintaining professionalism, discipline, and respect within the game.
