Emakhandeni, Bulawayo —In a recent turn of events, the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education has come under fire for his reluctance to respond to a pressing question concerning the potential relocation of the planned Aviation High School from Luveve High to Allan Wilson High.

On July 18, 2025, concerned community member Hon. Collins Bajila formally inquired whether the government intended to proceed with the move.

The expectation was that the Minister would provide a straightforward answer.

However, as of October 8, 2025, the Minister has yet to clarify the matter, stating he is ‘not ready’ to respond, despite addressing other inquiries.

This lack of transparency has sparked frustration within the community.

“Aviation Studies offers immense opportunities for our youth,”
Hon. Bajila expressed.

“If the school is moved, our young people will be deprived of a vital educational resource that could shape their futures.”

The community’s reaction has been one of disappointment and urgency.

Local parents, educators, and students gathered to voice their concerns, emphasizing the importance of Aviation Studies in fostering career paths in a rapidly evolving industry.

“We deserve to know what’s happening with our education system,”
said one local parent.

“Our children’s future should not be placed in uncertainty.”

Members of the community have also called for increased accountability from the government, urging the Minister to provide a clear response to Hon. Bajila’s inquiry.

“It’s a simple question that deserves a simple answer,” an observant remarked.

“The future of many students hangs in the balance.”

As the debate continues, the community remains hopeful that their voices will be heard and that the Minister will soon provide clarity on the future of the Aviation High School.

The outcome of this situation could significantly impact the educational landscape and career opportunities for students in the region.

The Minister’s office has yet to issue a formal statement regarding the concerns raised by Hon. Bajila and the community.

As this story develops, residents are urged to stay informed and engaged on this crucial issue.
