Its A Bizarre World: Epworth Family Blames Goblin Attacks, Mysterious Deaths on Supernatural Curse

Zim GBC News | It’s A Bizarre World

EPWORTH – A family living in Overspill, Epworth, is pleading for help amid claims of relentless supernatural persecution, including alleged sexual abuse by goblins, a string of unexplained deaths, and a cycle of marital and employment misfortunes.

The Nota family, originally from Boma District in Malawi, believes malevolent spirits are assaulting their daughters and daughters-in-law and causing members to die mysteriously – with six relatives reportedly passing away around the same time each year since 2019.

Mrs. Agnes Nota (54) described the family’s devastating situation:

“We were born as twelve, but now only seven of us are left. We are dying like ants; people just get sick for a short time and then die. This problem has spread to our sons-in-law and grandchildren, leading us to suspect witchcraft within the family.”

She added that their parents left behind 52 grandchildren, but the recurring tragedies have put the entire lineage at risk.

The family traces its misfortunes to the deaths of their parents – Mr. Fraction Nota, who died in 2000, and his wife Mrs. Menalla Pangeti Nota, who passed in 2019. Since then, the family says it has faced unending hardship.

Mr. Friday Nota (55), the fourth child, recalled a strange discovery at their father’s burial:

“When our father’s body was buried, we saw an old Jewish coin thrown at the grave. No one in the family handles money. We are beaten by goblins and abandoned by our wives, and our daughters are abandoned by their husbands. On top of that, we are dying indiscriminately.”

Disturbingly, female members of the family claim they are being sexually abused by invisible beings.

“Our daughters are being made wives during the day or night by things we cannot see, including our daughters-in-law, who end up running away from home,” Mrs. Agnes Nota revealed.

Mrs. Loveness Nota (41) shared her own tragic marital history:

“I, for example, have had five husbands, and I was divorced. Among these men, three have died, and two are still alive. Men are now afraid to court us.”

The family’s fears intensified three weeks ago when they found a pot containing a sword and coloured cloths placed on their father’s grave – an occurrence they interpret as confirmation of dark supernatural forces at work.

With no relatives in Zimbabwe and a growing sense of desperation, the Nota family is now seeking intervention from traditional healers, spiritual leaders, and the public to break what they describe as a vicious and otherworldly curse.
