Warriors Squad Named for World Cup Qualifiers Against South Africa and Lesotho

‎The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has unveiled the Warriors squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, where the national team will face South Africa and Lesotho.

‎Warriors Head Coach Michael Nees has assembled a balanced squad, blending experience and youth across all departments.

‎Goalkeepers include Washington Arubi (Marumo Gallants), Elvis Chipezeze (Magezi), and Martin Mapisa (MWOS FC).

‎The defensive line features
‎Gerald Takwara (Al Ittihad Misurata SC, Libya), Munashe Garananga (FC Copenhagen), Godknows Murwira (Scotland FC), Emmanuel Jalai (Dynamos FC), Teenage Hadebe (FC Cincinnati), Jordan Zemura (Udinese Calcio), Divine Lunga (Mamelodi Sundowns), and Brandon Galloway (Plymouth Argyle).

‎In midfield, Marvellous Nakamba (Luton Town), Marshall Munetsi (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Jonah Fabisch (FC Erzgebirg Aue), Knowledge Musona (Scotland FC), and Tawanda Chirewa (Wolverhampton Wanderers) will anchor the team.

‎The striking department sees Terrence Dzvukamanja (Scotland FC), Khama Billiat (Scotland FC), Bill Antonio (KV Mechelen), Tawanda Maswanhise (Motherwell FC), Walter Musona (Scotland FC), Prince Dube (Young Africans SC), and Thando Ngwenya (Amazulu) leading the attack.

‎The Warriors will be aiming to make a strong statement in the qualifiers, with the ultimate goal of securing a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
