Zimbabwe International footballer Tendai Ndoro is reportedly losing his eyesight due to diabetes this could see him retire from from the game.

The 36-year old striker has been training with Division One side Simba Bhora hoping to continue his football career after leaving South Africa.

The tall striker was a household name in South African football, where he featured for Black Aces before he was snapped by Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and became one of the wealthiest Zimbabwean footballers across the Limpopo.

He moved to Saudi Arabian side Al Faisaly in 2017, even without doing so well on the field of play and going through nightmarish short stint in the oil-rich gulf-nation, Ndoro was well-paid.

Less than a year after his last contract in the South African league was terminated Ndoro is struggling financially, up to a point he is said to be bankrupt.

Tendai Ndoro started his career with Chicken Inn of Zimbabwe in 2011.

Two years later, Ndoro completed a move to South African club Black Aces but was immediately returned to Chicken Inn on loan for the rest of the 2013 season.

In 2014, he officially joined the Black Aces squad and subsequently made 41 appearances and scored 14 goals over two seasons before departing in 2015 to join Orlando Pirates.

In the 2017–18 season he appeared for three clubs – Orlando Pirates, Al Faisaly, and Ajax Cape Town before Ajax Cape Town was relegated.

Ndoro made 14 appearances for the national team since 2013 and he has scored 5 goals.

“He is no longer training with us, but we have been assisting with medical bills. He was supposed to undergo an operation at the weekend. I will have to check how it went on,” Simba added.
