HARARE – Blessed Geza, a liberation war veteran known as “Comrade Bombshell,” has resurfaced with a surprise video message announcing his return to public discourse after months in hiding, marking his first public communication since the failed March 31 demonstrations.
The former ZANU-PF Central Committee member, who was expelled from the party earlier this year for his critical views, released a social media recording indicating he would hold an online address this coming Friday.
In the audio clip, Geza stated:
“Fellows, comrades, it is yours truly, Comrade Bombshell, Blessed Geza. It’s good to be back. It has been a long time.”
Geza gained notoriety for his online videos expressing strong criticism of government policy, accusing the administration of corruption and economic mismanagement. His activities led to his expulsion from ZANU-PF and forced him into hiding after authorities sought him for questioning following the unsuccessful March 31 protests that he had supported.
The brief video message, delivered in both English and Shona, did not reveal his current location or specify whether he would address the failed demonstrations in his upcoming broadcast.
He concluded his announcement with:
“Let’s meet this Friday at 20:30, our usual time.”
The message marks Geza’s first public communication since his disappearance from social media platforms after the March 31 events, signaling a potential return to his role as a vocal government critic.
