Two Zimbabweans Gunned Down in South Africa’s Limpopo, Police Launch Manhunt

MUSINA – A major police operation is underway in South Africa’s Vhembe District after two Zimbabwean nationals were executed in a hail of gunfire Sunday night, sparking cross-border outrage and fears of targeted attacks.

Limpopo Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe confirmed:

“We’ve mobilised all resources to hunt these killers. The organised crime unit is leading this investigation – we will find those responsible.”

Key Details:

· Victims: Bulawayo natives, aged 28 and 30 – one residing in Musina Location, the other in Ha-Rangani Village.
· Discovery: White Toyota Hilux abandoned near gravel road at 7:30 PM, both men shot multiple times.
· Evidence: Live rounds, spent cartridges, and a victim’s cellphone recovered at scene.

The double murder case, registered at Masisi Police Station, highlights growing violence against Zimbabwean migrants in border regions.

A community leader in Musina, who requested anonymity, warned:

“These weren’t random killings. The precision suggests execution-style – we demand justice for our brothers.”
