Produced by Naiza Boom, the film follows the socialite’s ordeal after she faced relentless online attacks over her alleged rape. Mental health experts warn of long-term psychological damage.
Mai Jeremiya has released a new movie titled Palodge, produced by Naiza Boom, following the highly publicized controversy surrounding her rape allegations. The socialite, who recently faced severe online backlash after it was revealed that her claims were false, appears to be using the film to present her version of events.
Initially, Jeremiya accused Martin Charlie and others of rape, claiming they forced her into silence. However, investigations later revealed that she had willingly participated in the sexual encounter. Charlie maintained that Jeremiya was a consenting participant and even praised him for being “better than her husband.”
The movie’s trailer, currently circulating on TikTok, depicts a harrowing scene where a woman—visibly distressed and half-naked—is shouted at by three men in a room. The men threaten her before signaling that they are “done” and order her to leave. The woman, however, pleads for money, mentioning a child at home. When the men refuse, she reminds them that they did not use protection. Another scene suggests an intimate situation involving the men.
The film’s release has sparked mixed reactions, with many questioning Jeremiya’s motives. Despite being accused of lying about the rape, she has chosen to proceed with the project, framing it as an exposé of what “really happened.”
Critics argue that the movie could further distort the narrative, as debates rage on, mental health professionals caution about the lasting psychological impact of such public scrutiny on all parties involved. Palodge is now available for viewing, though its reception remains deeply divided.
