A dark cloud hovers in Bulawayo’s Nkulumane 12 Suburb as a 24 year old man is reported to have committed suicide.
The 24 year old is said to have hung himself.
The Bulawayo Press and Liason Officer Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident which happened in Nkulumane 12.
The young man’s 55 year old sister arrived home from work and found her young brother
watching the television in the sitting room.
According to Insp. Ncube’s statement, the two did not talk much when the sister came back home after taking a short break from her work.
The deceased’s sister went back to her vending stall. When she came back in the evening around 8pm she found her young brother hanging from a roof truss in one of the bedrooms.
The sister who was shaken by the whole ordeal alerted her neighbours of the gut wrenching incident.
She reported the matter at the police station. The body of the deceased was transported to United Bulawayo Central Hospitals.
Insp. Ncube said the police are concerned about the suicide cases in the Province that are said to be on the increase.
“We urge members of the public to seek counseling before they resort to taking their lives.
