Harare – Linda Mudzenda, the 21-year-old Zimbabwean care worker who captivated audiences on Britain’s Got Talent, is set to perform at the King’s birthday party hosted by the British Embassy in Harare this week.

Mudzenda gained international fame after earning the seventh golden buzzer in this year’s competition with her soulful rendition of You Say by Lauren Daigle.

Judge Amanda Holden praised her performance, standing up and declaring,

“Britain needs to hear this voice!” before hitting the golden buzzer, sending Mudzenda straight to the finals.

The British Embassy in Zimbabwe confirmed her participation in the event, which celebrates the official birthday of King Charles III.

“We are thrilled to have Linda Mudzenda grace this year’s King’s birthday celebrations,” said a spokesperson for the embassy.

“Her talent and inspiring journey resonate with people across the globe, and we look forward to her performance.”

While the King’s official birthday is traditionally marked on the third Saturday of June, this year’s event falls on June 14—the second Saturday—due to scheduling adjustments.

Mudzenda’s appearance is expected to draw significant attention, as her Britain’s Got Talent audition continues to inspire fans worldwide.

“This is an incredible honor,” Mudzenda said in a statement.

“To represent Zimbabwe on such a platform and celebrate the King’s birthday is truly special.”

The celebration will bring together diplomats, local dignitaries, and guests in a showcase of cultural exchange and entertainment.
