In a tragic incident in Shamva, Esther Bwanause, a 57-year-old woman, allegedly killed her husband following a misunderstanding involving a solar inverter.
According to police reports, Bwanause is currently assisting authorities with their investigations after fatally assaulting her husband, Enoch Mazvidza, with a brick.
Acting Mashonaland Central police spokesperson, Sergeant Major Samuel Chikasha, confirmed the details of the case, stating,
“I can confirm a murder case in Shamva where a wife fatally assaulted her husband over an inverter misunderstanding.”
The conflict reportedly began when Mazvidza accused his wife of giving their inverter to their daughter, leading to a heated argument. During the altercation, Mazvidza assaulted Bwanause with a wooden stick, prompting her to retaliate by stoning him. Following the attack, he became unconscious and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
This incident highlights the tragic consequences that can arise from domestic disputes.
